hello hello my beauty fanatics,
i thought i would start by introducing myself seeming you need to get to know me before i start telling you how to make yourself feel and look good.
So, HELLO!! i am Sarah, I think an easy way for you to get to know me would be if i list facts about me (random or not). Did you know that lists are 88% more likely going to stay in a person's brain than if they are just plain written?? ok well that's a lie but here are some things that i can tell you i am definitely NOT lying about.
! I am in grade 9 in high school
! i have never been out of this country (as much as i want to)
! i have a best friend who is currently living in America and i miss her like crazy
! when i was little i dreamed of being a footy player, teacher, dancer, singer, lifeguard, surfer, writer and firefighter, but now i have finally settled on a fashion designer with my best friend.
! i dream way too much and i am very ambitious even when those ambitions are very unrealistic e.g 1st grade footy player (strictly men only) if you see what i mean.
! my most prized possession is my surfboard, i would like to be able to go surfing more often. i also have over 200 teddy bears, and no it is not an obsession. It is not an obsession until i admit it is and that isn't going to happen anytime soon.
! i love people, people amaze me. i still find it hard to believe that everyone is different, when i travel around the world i am going to be on a quest to find a twin me.
! i have a need for freedom and I'm not myself until i receive that freedom.
! i have been pushed by people who don't know me. You see, teachers always tell me that I'm good at alot of things and i have a potential to be something extremely big and smart but all i want to do is design clothes. when i tell them that they seem to be very disappointed with me. i am my own person and i am independent, i will do what my heart says to do.
! i love art, design, beauty spreads in colourful magazines and anything creative, i like to think I'm creative but I've never been the top in art class but i try and that is all that matters. i believe passion is better than skill.
So now that you know a little bit about me i have decided to come to my first beauty post. During these posts i will cover your head to your toes and everything in between. i hope that you learn something, but even if you don't i hope you are still entertained at my attempt. :p
So i would like to start with my favourite subject and something that i should do way more often; moisturising. Do i hear you cringe? Moisturisng shouldn't be something to cringe about, it has many effects that you may not be aware of.

Do Your Beautiful Brains Know??....
That people who moisturise are less likely to have depression?
In India women massage themselves with moisturiser every day. For them it is just like having a shower everyday. When you moisturise you are increasing the blood flow around your body and this can pretect you from colds and the flu. People who are touched more often are far less likely to have self loathing thoughts and therefore the risk of depression is decreased.
During Winter you should moisturise atleast once a day to keep your skin from going dry and blotchy. But when it is Summer it doesn't mean you can stop moisturing because of the hot weather. When you are at the beach the sun can have the same affect on your skin as the cold. It can strip your skin from all it's natural nutrients causing it to go dry. i'm sure you all know what it is like to get sunburnt, well just imagine what that is doing to your poor skin!!! Moisturising can also reduce stretch marks and it keeps your legs from going yucky after you shave.
It is also a self mediatating way to get in touch with yourself.
So why not? we all know you should be so lets get moisturising!
Tips
! exfoiliate before you moisturise to get rid of all the dry skin that is hanging there.
! Make it a routine! spend 5 minutes each day slapping on all that moisturiser. Your skin will L.O.V.E you.
! Use thicker moisturiser in places that are more dry e.g knees, elbows and hands,
! Don't forget your feet! They are one of the dryest parts of your body and they move you around so they deserve to be loved.
! Use a moisture filled body wash in the shower to boost the moisturisation.
